Jackpot Donnie blends reggae, hard rock, funk, and blues for loyal audiences across the Chicago-land area. The band “features a crisp, even professional vibe that’s seldom heard from indie acts” (Frank Krolicki – Chicago Examiner). The RedEye Chicago says, “Jackpot Donnie offers throaty, imploring vocals, a sumptuous ska undertone and choruses that captivate listeners.” They are currently working on their latest EP with producer and engineer Steve Gillis (former drummer of Filter) at Transient Sound Studios in Chicago. Who is Jackpot Donnie?!?
JPD has established its identity as one of Chicago’s most energetic bands and has been spreading rock and roll across the city and beyond. You can find JPD in many of Chicagoland’s finest venues, including House of Blues, Lincoln Hall, Double Door, Durty Nellie’s, Cubby Bear Chicago, The Abbey, and Bottom Lounge.
They are currently working on their latest EP with producer and engineer Steve Gillis (former drummer of Filter) at Transient Sound Studios in Chicago. Their first full-length album “Music Nightly” was released in 2008, followed by the “New Mode” EP in 2010.
